The 51st edition of the Saloni gets under way

With more than 2,500 exhibitors hosted in a floor space of 209,000 square metres, the 51st edition of the Saloni gets under way today. The International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition EuroCucina, the International Bathroom Exhibition, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition and SaloneSatellite held in the Milan Fairgrounds in Rho from Tuesday 17 to Sunday 22 April offer a wide range of proposals covering all types of furnishings and styles. More than 300,000 visitors from 160 countries are expected to attend, demonstrating the quality of the commercial offerings and of the exhibition organisation.
The International Bathroom Exhibition held in halls 22 and 24 is showcasing a wide range of accessories and surface covering products created by leading international designers, including bathroom accessories and furnishings, shower cubicles, sauna installations, porcelain fixtures, radiators, floor and wall coverings, bathroom and kitchen taps, baths and whirlpool tubs. Held along with Eurocucina in even-numbered years, the International Bathroom Exhibition is one of the most dynamic events in the furnishing sector with 170 exhibitors hosted in a space of 15,300 square metres. This year’s show features a wide range of natural products, reflecting the keen interest in contemporary trends on the part of a sector that has transformed the bathroom from a purely functional space to a room that stands out for its staggering array of style and image choices.
Innovations in the processing and use of marble, onyx, slate and other types of natural stone are perfectly in keeping with international design and architecture trends focusing on a new concept of the domestic bathroom space.
