Acimac at Revestir

From 11 to 14 March Acimac will be taking part in the 2008 edition of Revestir in São Paulo, Brazil with a joint delegation of companies coordinated in cooperation with the Italian Trade Commission ICE. The purpose of this participation is to further consolidate the longstanding partnership between Italian ceramic technology suppliers and Brazilian manufacturers.

Revestir, the Brazilian exhibition of surface covering materials and technology, has reached its sixth edition this year. The organisers are expecting more than 30,000 visitors from some 60 foreign countries. The Italian ceramic machinery industry will be represented by a joint pavilion featuring leading companies such as Air Power Group, Ancora, Bmr, Euromeccanica, Messersì Packaging, NuovaFima, Sacmi Imola and System.

Forum Tecnargilla Brasil, a conference organised by Acimac, ICE, Anfacer (Brazilian ceramic tile manufacturers' association) and CCB (Brazilian Ceramic Centre), will discuss crucial issues concerning production processes such as digital printing on ceramic, the trends and challenges in porcelain tile production (with a talk given by Acimac past president Ivanno Ligabue), and the use of the colour-matching system in the decoration process.

Professor Arturo Salomoni from Centro Ceramico Bologna will present an interesting talk entitled "Ceramic becomes energy: ceramic tiles used as photovoltaic panels". These themes will be further developed at Tecnargilla 2008 from 30 September to 4 October in Rimini, the exhibition that is now synonymous with cutting-edge technology and processes applied to ceramic.
