Betta Sanitaryware strengthens a historical partnership with the Sacmi Group

Last May saw the successful - and extremely satisfying - completion of final testing of a new Gaiotto-built glazing line.

This new line highlights how the rewarding partnership with the Betta Group reflects the importance of carrying out production in as eco-friendly and clean a way as possible. In this particular case the new glazing line includes a dry spray glazing booth featuring HEPA filters.

In addition to this new booth the plant also features the latest version of the Gaiotto GA 2000 robot, which incorporates a glaze flow control system. In practice, the operator can, via the robot joystick, control and set all the key parameters of a glazing programme and control the manipulator itself.

Delivered in April, the new line was already fully operative by mid-May, immediately yielding excellent results in terms of reduced glaze consumption and overall energy consumption. Another key aspect is the drastically reduced consumption of water, now limited to just the cleaning of the piece-carrying turntables.

The new line consists of: belt conveyors, a 2-position turret (fully controlled by the robot as additional axes), a booth with dry filters, a flow control system integrated on the new version of the Gaiotto GA 2000 robot and a line control PLC with an internet link to the Sacmi/Gaiotto assistance centre.

Once again, Sacmi/Gaiotto technology highlights the importance of having production plants that provide energy savings and can also be started up quickly.
