BMR: increasingly green-oriented

Innovation, efficiency, and optimising costs and energy savings are the cornerstones of BMR's business. The company's commitment in this area has been recognised in recent years with a series of awards, most recently a special mention in the Green Technology sector at the 3rd edition of the Green Economy Festival, for the Cut Crash® machine. BMR's steel-disc cutting and rectifying system stood out mainly for its ability to eliminate the use of water thanks to an air cooling solution. Compared to the conventional diamond disc machines, Cut Crash® also considerably reduces the requirement for energy and raw materials in the rectification of ceramic slabs.

BMR is also involved in training and information campaigns, in order to raise awareness of green solutions among businesses and consumers. On 29 November, BMR was one of the keynote speakers at a day organised by La Fabbrica delle Idee, dedicated to "Green product and process innovations in Green Building" at BLA-Biblioteca Lidoteca Archivio Storico, Via Silvio Pellico in Fiorano (Modena).

The event was one of a series of 9 themed workshops on innovative case studies, organised by La Fabbrica delle Idee (a multisectorial workshop and programme intended to generate ideas and proposals to relaunch the ceramic industry) and focusing on 3 important contemporary issues: Green Building, Smart City and Local Welfare .

BMR, sensitive to the issues of local development and promoting the advantages of Italian-made technologies, has made a real contribution in this area with the Cut Crash® project.
