BMR secures supply contract from Valdi Ceramica

BMR has consolidated its partnership with Valdi, a well-established ceramic company based in Staporkow in Poland’s Konskie region which recently opened a new facility capable of producing 4 million sq.m of high quality porcelain tiles a year.

The new plant, which began operation in early 2011, uses BMR machinery for protective treatment of polished porcelain tile.

The Italian company (based in Scandiano, Reggio Emilia, Italy) specialises in end-of-line technologies for ceramic tile production. It first established relations with Valdi Ceramica in 2008 when the Polish company was founded and a squaring line for 120x120 cm large-format tiles was installed, followed a year later by a polishing and squaring line.

In 2010 BMR supplied further equipment for the trim piece department, installing a listel cutting line with rectification and rounding of the skirting edge in a cascade process. It also supplied a disk cutting line for rectified mosaic and accessory machinery, as well as a plant for waste water recycling.
