BMR wins major orders in the Italian market

BMR has reported an excellent first half of the year, supplying lapping, cutting, squaring and final treatment lines to leading Italian ceramic companies.

The Scandiano-based company, for more than 40 years a leader in end-of-line technologies for the production of ceramic tiles, has sold a number of new plants to Florim Group, Marazzi Group, Emilceramica and Ceramica Fondovalle.

Florim Group, one of the top ten ceramic tile manufacturers based in Fiorano Modenese, will install a complete lapping/cutting and squaring line for the production of new large format tiles to be presented at the forthcoming Cersaie, as well as a cutting and squaring line for Florim USA, the first of this type for the American branch. This brings to eleven the number of complete BMR lines installed by Florim Group since 2005, further consolidating an already established partnership.

BMR has also secured major supply contracts with Marazzi Group. By the end of the year, a second cutting and squaring line will come into operation at the Fiorano factory, while the Marazzi Rivestimenti division in Sassuolo will start up the first Squadra Dry line, an innovative dry squaring system that does not require the use of water and is therefore more environmentally friendly. Cutting out the final tile drying phase completely eliminates the need to purchase and use a dryer, resulting in fuel savings and avoiding harmful atmospheric emissions.
These latest supplies bring to 6 the number of complete BMR lines installed by Marazzi Group.

BMR has also secured a major supply contract with Ceramica Fondovalle, installing a complete plant for large format tiles up to 1200x1200 mm including a lapping, disc cutting and incision line and a snapping, squaring and final treatment line.
