Building show SAIE 2008 ends with good results

The 2008 edition of Saie, the international building exhibition held in Bologna from 15 to 18 October, has ended very positively. In spite of the one day shorter duration, the show registered the same attendance as in 2007 due to a 10% increase in numbers of visitor on each individual day.

Energy was the common theme of all the initiatives. A new exhibit section entitled SAIEnergia provided a space hosting cultural events, forums and debates on renewable energy sources and low-energy technologies for sustainable building.

The events included an exhibition coordinated by architect Marco Visconti which was concluded by the selection of the best projects implementing sustainable building in architecture and RiqualificasA, an initiative that featured the best solutions for reducing energy consumption in existing buildings.

Saie will be back from 28 to 31 October 2009.
