Ceramic technologies showcased in São Paulo
Thousands of visitors from 60 different countries are preparing to visit the ninth Revestir (Transamerica Expo Center, São Paulo, 22-25 March), the pre-eminent trade fair in South America devoted to the ceramic tile and natural stone industry.
Italian technology will be showcased under the Tecnargilla Brasil banner through a joint participation organised by Acimac and the Italian Trade Commission ICE and featuring the companies Air Power Group, Bmr, Breton, Cmf, Euromeccanica, Gabrielli Technology, Martinelli Ettore, Sacmi, Siti - B&T Group, System, Ta-Ro, Tecnema and Tecnoferrari.
One of the highlights of the exhibition will be the event Tecnargilla Brasil, an annual conference promoted by Anfacer, Acimac and ICE to be held on 25 March to discuss new technologies for ceramic tiles. The appointment, reserved for industry professionals, is part of the packed programme of events to be held in the International Forum of Architecture and Construction aimed at architects, interior designers, engineers and distributors.
International experts in the ceramic tile sector, coordinated by Prof. Anselmo Boschi, head of the ceramic laboratory of the Federal University of São Carlos, will discuss progress in technology with four dedicated reports.
Giovanni Baldi from the Colorobbia Research Centre, Italy will discuss nanotechnologies applied to ceramic coverings and Federica Bondioli from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy will illustrate trends in the functionalisation and decoration of ceramic surfaces. Next, Javier Garcia from Instituto Tecnológico de Cerámica of Castellón, Spain will offer an overview of scientific and technological developments in porcelain tile production and Andrea Bresciani from Sacmi Imola (Italy) will address the theme of innovation in ceramic tile production.
The previous Revestir attracted 45,000 visitors and hosted 125 exhibitor companies in a space of 55,000 sq.m.
