Ceramica Del Conca adopts second Durst Gamma DG system
The Italian ceramic tile producer was one of the first companies to experiment with Durst’s innovative digital glazing technology and has now ordered a second machine.
Following the huge international success of the first innovative product lines created using Durst Gamma DG technology, Ceramica del Conca has purchased a second digital glazing system developed by the Bressanone-based company.
A world-leading brand with a long-standing commitment to innovation, Ceramica del Conca was one of the first international manufacturers to experiment with the revolutionary technology developed by Durst for digital glazing of ceramic tiles. The use of Durst Gamma DG technology in conjunction with Durst Gamma XD digital printers, a solution long adopted by Ceramica del Conca, has enabled the company to create extremely natural material effects that cannot be replicated or copied using any other technology. This solution allows for the digital printing of structures in perfect synchronisation with the graphic designs, faithfully reproducing even the most prestigious natural materials.
Ever since their official debut at Cersaie 2021, the new ceramic surfaces created by Del Conca using Durst Gamma DG have proved highly popular for their natural look and three-dimensional decorations.
“The ability of this technology to perfectly synchronise structure and material creates a unique aesthetic effect, revolutionising the concept of traditional ceramic surfaces and generating value,” commented Ceramica del Conca’s CEO Luca Costi.
The pursuit of three-dimensionality is now one of the most widely felt needs of the global ceramic tile market, as confirmed by the list of top 10 international tile trends presented at the recent exhibition Coverings 2022 in Las Vegas. The Bas Relief Tile Trend is one of the most popular, with products made by Ceramica del Conca using Durst’s unique technology cited as particularly notable examples.
This success has already brought Ceramica del Conca important international recognition, including a Special Mention for Sustainability at the Archiproducts Design Awards 2021. Durst Gamma DG uses special water-based ceramic glazes with a high particle size (>45 microns) that allow for environmentally friendly production processes.
