Ceramica del Norte continues to grow with Sacmi-Cosmec

Following an initial investment three years ago in a new production line for hollow bricks, load-bearing bricks and floor blocks, Ceramica del Norte (one of South America’s largest brick manufacturers located in Salta, north-west Argentina) has once again chosen Sacmi-Cosmec for the installation of its fourth production unit.

Supplied and installed in a very short timeframe, the plant was successfully tested and started up at the beginning of this year. This installation brings the added value of the synergy with Cosmec, a company acquired by Sacmi two years ago that has forty years of experience in product handling for the heavy clay industry.

The new Ceramica del Norte line is equipped with everything it needs to guarantee high-levels of process automation from the cutting phase to fired product discharge. The high performance of this fourth line has prompted the Argentine company to order a fifth production unit from Sacmi, which was shipped in March this year.

This latest order will enable Ceramica del Norte to further strengthen its leadership position in the country.
