Ceramiche Ricchetti adopts System automation as part of factory upgrade
As part of a major technology upgrade at its production plant in Maranello (Modena), the Ceramiche Ricchetti Group has adopted System technologies and automation for the decoration, storage and end-of-line departments.
These include a Creadigit XLE printer for digital decoration of tiles in sizes up to 900 mm along with Robofloor systems from Nuova Era to optimise workspace efficiency in the fired material storage area.
For the quality control stage, the group has opted for the Qualitron artificial vision system which performs automatic tile inspection and sorting using latest-generation software based on cutting-edge machine learning principles. The end-of-line department has also been fitted with new sorting lines equipped with the Multigecko sorter, along with the 4Phases packaging machine and the Griffon palletisation system whose software ensures intelligent distribution of the weights and sizes of tile packs.
Ceramiche Ricchetti Group has also adopted System end-of-line technology at the Cinca factory in Portugal, where it has installed a sorting line with Multigecko sorter, an FV/08 Easy EVO packaging machine and a gantry type palletiser.
