Change in top management at EFI
Jeff Jacobson takes over from Bill Muir as CEO
Three weeks after the closing of the acquisition (23 July) of Fremont, California-based multinational EFI by an affiliate of Siris Capital Group for approximately $1.7 billion, a major change in top management was announced. On 13 August, Jeff Jacobson, Siris Executive Partner and EFI Executive Chairman, took over as EFI’s CEO from Bill Muir.
Jacobson is a 30-year veteran of the digital imaging and industrial technology sector. Prior to joining EFI, Mr. Jacobson served as CEO of Xerox and as President of its Technology Business and Global Graphic Communications Operations. Previous appointments include COO of Eastman Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, CEO of Kodak Polychrome Graphics, and Chairman, President and CEO of Presstek.
After joining Xerox in 2012, he oversaw the largest product launch in the company’s history and led the company through a strategic transformation that resulted in improved operating margins and cash flow.
Accepting the new appointment to CEO of EFI, he commented: “EFI’s portfolio of best-in-class solutions presents an exciting opportunity to drive further growth in high-quality inkjet and integrated, digital workflows. I look forward to working closely with management and know Siris is committed to providing the guidance and support needed to help EFI continue accelerating the transformation of industries where colorful images matter.”
