Claytech rhymes with Greentech at Tecnargilla
Along with its traditional focus on heavy clay machinery, the Claytech section at this year’s Tecnargilla (Rimini, 24-28 September) will also explore the many benefits of green technology. The area devoted to suppliers of plant and equipment for heavy clay will have an enhanced format combining research and technological innovation with production process sustainability.
Energy efficiency, reduced emissions, recycling of industrial waste and water and heat savings are just a few of the concepts that have revolutionised the heavy clay industry in recent years, bringing major cost savings and environmental benefits.
Claytech will have a new layout reflecting the sector’s focus on sustainability and this year will coordinate closely with Greentech, the new satellite event showcasing eco-friendly solutions for the ceramic industry in Hall A3. In particular, Claytech will host a series of conferences on various aspects of production process sustainability to take stock of the current situation and discuss ideas, projects and developments for the future.
The importance of the heavy clay industry will also be highlighted by the graphic restyling of the logo, which is now coloured orange to reflect the typical shades of bricks and tiles.
Claytech 2018, which will be held in Hall A5 and the connecting space A5/C5, will once again welcome official delegations of selected international buyers with the aim of creating fresh business opportunities for exhibitor companies. Tecnargilla is in the process of selecting leading manufacturers of ceramic tiles, sanitaryware and bricks and roof tiles from 27 countries (Algeria, Angola, Argentina, Azerbaijan, China, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Palestine, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine and Vietnam) with a view to organising B2B meetings in the reserved areas or directly on exhibitors’ stands. In 2016 more than 1,500 bilateral meetings took place between exhibitor companies and international delegates.
