Coverings to be held in Chicago in alternate years

03/11/05 – Coverings, the largest and most comprehensive annual marketplace for tile and stone, will be staged alternately between Orlando and Chicago, beginning with the April 2007 show.
Announcement of the added venue at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center was made by the show’s Board of Directors, which includes representatives from the five sponsoring organizations: Assopiastrelle (Association of Italian Ceramic Tile and Refactories Manufacturers), ASCER (Spain’s Ceramic Tile Manufacturers Association), TCNA (Tile Council of North America), CTDA (Ceramic Tile Distributors Association) and NTCA (National Tile Contractors Association.

Chicago is the third largest metropolitan area in the U.S. and home to a vital community of design and construction professionals. It is also a convenient hub for national and international transportation, as close to being the “centre” of the country as any American city.

The next show will be held in Orlando from 4 to 7 April next year. Coverings 2007 in Chicago is scheduled for 17 to 20 April.
