Creadigit graduates with flying colours
Creadigit, the automatic ceramic tile decoration machine with latest-generation inkjet technology from System, has received an excellent response from the market. Out of the 40 machines that have begun operation worldwide, not a single printhead has to date shown signs of malfunction or nozzle clogging and all prints are defect free. Creadigit has been installed in the facilities of ceramic companies located predominantly in Europe, Southeast Asia and South America and is used for decorating both floor and wall tiles.
The outstanding results in terms of printing uniformity are a consequence of the system's high technological reliability and the development of the StartFire SG-1024 printhead. Print defects are absent even on prints with very dark inks on which uneven stripes or banding would be particularly noticeable. The inkjet printer has also achieved excellent results with continuous round-the-clock operation.
System can now guarantee defect-free printing at a resolution of 400x400 dpi and with a 40 metre per minute throughput, 25pl, 50pl and 80pl greyscales, a high delivery capacity and a high level of efficiency and flexibility. Creadigit is able to deposit ink quantities ranging from a few grams to several tens of grams per square metre without limitations in terms of speed or resolution and without having to reset the jetting parameters. The printheads and drive modes allow for good printing definition even at a distance of several mm from the tile, guaranteeing the absence of stripes or banding on the finished product.
