Dream ceramics at Tecnargilla
"Ceramic Dreams 2014" is the title of Tecnargilla's ceramic trends exhibition, organised by the architecture firm Azzolini Tinuper. Once again, the Rimini event will cast a glance on the future of aesthetics connected with ceramic tile decoration in order to provide some creative ideas and provocation. The concept is based on the world of dreams and how ceramics would be interpreted by a child's fantasy, with the dream as a stimulus and the representation of the unreal. Everything becomes possible with patterns, colours, formats and finishes.
Spontaneity, lightness, genuineness, imagination and irony are intertwined in infinite combinations and interpretations of a reality imbued with fables. The exhibition pathway guides visitors to sensorial exploration and the development of creative thinking, touching the perceptive, symbolic and evocative sphere.
The three lines of trend singled out start from three different perceptions of the dream and represent them.
Astro Afro, the first trend proposed, explains the dream as a voyage. A parallel voyage into the ethnic world and cybernetic space, through evocative images and a colour palette matching the trendiest interior decor. Organic, random decoration, mass colour and dusted colour merge with tribal and Aborigine decoration, geometric decoration and simple repeated marks.
The second stimulus pertains to the dream as distorted reality: multiplied images, mirrored effect, disorientation, change in direction of images, geode crystals, 3D surfaces, split, multifaceted images, puzzling colours, unsaturated and neutral colour range with finish and structure effects that multiply reality.
The dream as selected reality is the theme of the third trend, starring burnt images, graphics focus, chromatic filters, the cancellation of reality to endorse specifics, the contrast between a black and white world and an explosion of elements in hyper-saturated colours, and the emphasis of fluorescent trend details in contrast with a neutral background.
Tecnargilla, the world's leading fair for supplies to the ceramic industry, will be held in Rimini from 22 - 26 September 2014.
