Duratex purchases Setec technology
Setec recently received two major orders from the Brazilian group Duratex to supply equipment for the body and glaze preparation departments at the new sanitaryware production facility currently under construction at Queimados in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
This order strengthens the Setec Group’s presence in the lucrative and economically expanding Brazilian market and confirms the Civita Castellana, Italy-based company as a key partner in technology for complete turnkey plants in the ceramic sanitaryware industry.
Both departments are due to begin operation in July 2012 with an estimated capacity of 3500 tonnes/month of body and 267 tonnes/month of glaze, both on a dry basis.
Setec will also supply an integrated cell for dry grinding of silica, fired scraps and feldspar with a production capacity that varies according to the particle size of incoming product (maximum 5 tonnes/hour).
