Durst celebrates 100th Gamma system sold in Italy
After celebrating its 100th sale of a Gamma system, supplied to Cooperativa Ceramica Imola, Durst has now received a further order from the Italian company for a Durst Gamma 120 HD-RS for its production unit in Faenza. This brings Coop Imola's fleet of machines to 16 Gamma units along with a Pictorec and a Copy Rip Durst Industrial Edition (DIE) colour management tool.
The Durst Gamma R printer chosen by the Imola-based company has a printing width of 115.2 cm, a line speed of up to 74 m/min. and a number of important technological features in common with all the new R series printers. These include: latest-generation dual ink recirculation printheads with extended automatic cleaning cycles; patented transversal printhead configuration system and greyscale technology; possibility of including FX Module to increase the number of colour bars from 5 to 7 with the addition of special-effect inks; precise and constant inkjet with a linear velocity up to 4 times higher than other systems available on the market; ink stability and full fields without modulation; vibrant colours and high rendering of details that require greater contrast without waste; rapid workflow management with cutting-edge software systems.
This latest order from Cooperativa Ceramica Imola brings to 14 the number of Durst systems from the new R series sold in Italy, an outstanding result that confirms the company's leading position in the ceramic digital printing sector both in Italy, where it has a market share of around 40%, and worldwide with a total of around 400 ceramic printers installed.
