The decision marks an important step in the company’s efforts to build a network of European relationships and return to the international scene after two years of pandemic.
Expert Lab Service, a company specialising in the field of ceramic laboratory equipment, has become a member of the Spanish Ceramics and Glass Society (SECV), which works to promote technical progress in the ceramics and glass industries through scientific research and the dissemination of knowledge. Joining the SECV marks an important step forward in the Modena-based company’s efforts to build a network of European relationships following two years marked by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Its first opportunity to participate in one of the society’s events was the 58th SECV National Congress held in Madrid from 3 to 6 May, where Expert Lab Service showcased its products and services and participated both as a sponsor and as a speaker.
In particular the company presented a novel algorithm combining optical fleximeter and dilatometer for the determination of coupling temperature and tension state of glazed materials.
More generally, the Congress explored the themes of sustainability and decarbonisation of the ceramics and glass industries. To meet the ambitious sustainability goals set for European enterprises, scientists are working to reformulate products, reshore suppliers and redesign processes for lower energy requirements.
The availability of algorithmic methods for the rapid and reliable analysis of material properties is essential for achieving ambitious sustainability goals without compromising on quality.
