Fabio Tarozzi appointed Vice Chairman of Confindustria Emilia Area Centro
The CEO of Gruppo B&T joins Chairwoman Sonia Bonfiglioli’s new leadership team.
Fabio Tarozzi, Chairman and CEO of Gruppo B&T, has been appointed Vice Chairman of Confindustria Emilia Area Centro. The appointment was officially announced on 16 May at the association’s General Meeting. Tarozzi will serve alongside Sonia Bonfiglioli, Chair of Bonfiglioli Riduttori, who was unanimously elected to lead the organisation for the four-year term from 2025 to 2029.
A prominent figure in Emilia’s industrial landscape, Tarozzi has also held senior positions within national trade associations. After two terms as Vice Chairman of ACIMAC, he was elected Chairman in 2012. He subsequently served four consecutive terms as Vice Chairman of Federmeccanica, with responsibility for regional affairs. In 2025, he joined the board of the Confindustria federation representing machinery for plastics and rubber, ceramics, wood, packaging and related technologies.
“I’m especially pleased with the Board’s decision to appoint Sonia Bonfiglioli as our next Chair,” Tarozzi commented. “Not only is she an outstanding entrepreneur, but she also exemplifies the excellence of the mechatronics industry cluster that grew up along the historic Via Emilia, an industry that has helped build Italy’s global leadership in capital goods across various sectors. I’m confident that under her leadership, our association will continue to support local businesses, helping them remain competitive in international markets and navigate today’s particularly complex economic landscape.
“As Vice Chairman, I look forward to contributing proactively, drawing on my experience as head of Gruppo B&T as well as my longstanding involvement with Confindustria, ACIMAC, Federmeccanica and Federazione Confindustria Macchine,” he added.
