Ferro open day for employees and families

10/12/04 - On Saturday 13 November Ferro Italia opened the gates to its Fiorano Modenese site and its factory at Casiglie in Sassuolo to employees and their families.

At the Fiorano site, where the various Ferro divisions located in Italy will soon be moved along with the research and support laboratories and the central services such as administration and personnel, short demonstrations were organised to show how raw materials are converted into the frits, glazes and colours used to decorate tiles.

This proved a fascinating experience for those employees who, although having worked at the company for several years, had never previously had the opportunity to see firsthand how the production process takes place or how Ferro products are used for tile decoration.
About 200 employees and their families attended the guided tours, led by company representatives Cecilia Corradini, Claudio Alboni and Maurizio Cavedoni.
