Fincibec factory in Roteglia upgraded and renovated

After several months of hard work, the manufacturing facility of Ceramiche Century, a member of the Fincibec Group located in Roteglia di Castellarano (Reggio Emilia), has undergone major renovation and expansion. The work was completed during the summer and involved a major investment to double the production capacity of the end-of-line processing department for sizes from 30x30 cm to 120x120 cm as well as 15x90 cm, 15x120 cm and 16.5x100 cm planks. This department is capable of performing finishing operations that considerably enhance the value of products, including cutting, grinding, brushing, lapping and polishing.

The work also involved replacing the handling and storage system with new and much higher performance technology in terms of both software and materials handling equipment, especially between the kilns and the machining and sorting departments. Last but not least, the sorting department was upgraded with the acquisition of a new line for large sizes and strips. The expansion project in Roteglia was carried out using technology from the top manufacturers in the area to improve the strictly Italian production in which the company prides itself.
