Focus on hi-tech at Ceramics China 2013

Ceramics China, one of the most important Chinese shows devoted to ceramic technology, will be held from 29 May to 1 June 2013 in Guangzhou.

Organised by CCIA and Unifair, the exhibition will extend over an estimated area of 80,000 square metres in the eight halls of the Canton Fair Complex and will host an expected 800 exhibitors. The themes of this edition, "Change, Innovation, Advancement", are key aspects of the new technological developments in which automation, energy saving and digital printing play a major role.

The exhibition centre's eight halls will host five theme sections. The first will be devoted to colours, glazes and pigments, raw materials, additives and refractories; the second to equipment for energy saving; the third to automation; the fourth will be devoted to technological innovation; and the fifth will focus on the latest inkjet printing technologies.

A special area devoted to tableware will highlight the technological progress of a sector that is developing particularly rapidly in China. More than 30 companies will be exhibiting machinery and equipment for tableware, advanced technologies capable of cutting the costs deriving from high energy consumption and reducing environmental pollution.
Alongside Asian companies, this group of 30 will include two German companies, Dorst and Sama (the latter a member of the Sacmi Group) and the Italian group SE.TE.C, a manufacturer of sanitaryware and tableware machinery which will present its range of glazing robots.

To promote the visibility of the sector, there will also be an international conference with leading experts in the field entitled "Tableware Technology Development Forum". Strongly supported by the show organisers, this newly-launched initiative will examine the process of growth and transformation of the Chinese industry and will highlight the new technologies originating from Europe.

With the aim of further improving the level of internationalisation, the exhibition is adopting a multimedia platform that will enable it to communicate in 10 different languages (Chinese, English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Arabic, Turkish, Russian and Japanese). The show's website (http://www.ceramicschina.com.cn) has also been refurbished with a new design and contents and has generated a considerable increase in numbers of visits.
