Garoll supplies technology to Manifacture Tunisienne de Céramique
The presses are served by an ABB IRB-6650/3.2-125 robot, which will automatically perform demoulding and loading/unloading of a rack for pre-drying and rotation of the pieces from the demoulding position (on the rim) to the fettling position (on the foot). When fully operational, the unit will produce about 200 pieces/day over three work shifts.
The special feature of the system is the fact that it will be possible to expand it in the future by integrating a second HPC 402 press, allowing current production to be doubled. The contract includes the modelling activities required for the production of WCs with stick-on rims using resin moulds on the pressure casting unit.
The agreement, which further consolidates a partnership that began more than 15 years ago, also involves automation of the existing pressure casting units and the supply of resin moulds.
Before the last Christmas holidays, Garoll also secured a contract with a well-known Swedish company to supply a high-pressure casting plant for the production of various types of ceramic sanitaryware. This new partnership will allow Garoll to reinforce its presence in Northern Europe.
