Germans Boada opens new factory

30/07/03 - Germans Boada, S.A., one of the world?s largest manufacturers of building machinery and equipment, opened a new factory at Santa Oliva del Penedès in Spain?s Tarragona region on June 18 this year.

The new facility has a covered area of 20,000 square metres and is equipped with the latest warehouse management and customer service technologies, thereby allowing it to speed up the storage and order preparation operations. Furthermore, the modern assembly lines, together with those already operating at the Rub? factory, will allow the company to increase its production capacity for Rub? brand machinery and equipment and for products from the new Cutman line.

One building will accommodate the offices along with a historical and cultural area open to the public. Aimed particularly at professional visitors, this space includes a museum of building materials, an auditorium where the film ?The essence of building? will be screened, and an area for demonstrating the characteristics of Germans Boada products.
