GMM Group continues to grow
The GMM Group posted revenues in excess of 19 million euros in 2017, a new record for the Spezzano-based group which is now reaping the benefits of the investments it has made over the last two years.
These outstanding results were not only due to growth of the Italian parent company GMM Trasmissioni Meccaniche (sales up 9% with respect to 2016) but also the excellent performance of GMM USA (Clarksville), which was opened in October 2016 and grew its business by strengthening partnerships with the leading Italian ceramic companies operating in Tennessee and with new local partners. Key factors contributing to the US branch’s success include the large available stock and consequent just-in-time service and technical support provided by qualified Italian staff.
No less impressive were the results of BBM Maintenance Partner, a company acquired in 2016 which posted 45% growth in 2017. This sharp turnover growth is attributable to the strong demand for the analysis and predictive maintenance services offered by the company, which along with 24/7 support are increasingly appreciated and in demand.
Medici Soluzioni Industriali, a company that joined GMM in September 2017, also has excellent prospects.
With a new sales platform including a wide range of power tools and premium brand PPE (such as DeWalt), the Sassuolo-based company is becoming increasingly important and offers a wide range of new opportunities. The excellent synergies established between group companies makes GMM an increasingly all-round supply partner capable of fully meeting the demands of the ceramic sector in Italy and abroad.
