“How to make the future: Visions and Challenges”, the inaugural conference at Tecna 2022
The event will take place on 27 September at 3 pm at the Future Arena conference area (Hall D5). International guests will take part at the round table discussing about the future of the industry.
The current challenges, opportunities and strategies to grant the future development of the ceramic industry will be the main focus of the Tecna 2022 inaugural event entitled “How to make the future: Visions and Challenges” to be held in the afternoon of Tuesday 27 September, at 3 pm at the Future Arena conference area (Hall D5) of the Rimini Expo Centre.
Corrado Peraboni (CEO of Italian Exhibition Group), Paolo Lamberti (Chairman of Acimac – Italian Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers’ Association) and Gian Paolo Crasta (Executive Director of Acimac) will welcome the guests. They will be followed by Luca Baraldi (Chief Analyst of MECS/ Acimac), who will offer an interesting updated analysis of the world scenario data on the ceramic industry and markets, focusing also on the imports-exports trends. This will be an anticipation of the figures published in 10th edition of the yearly study “World Production and consumption of ceramic tiles”.
The conference will then feature a round table discussion, una tavola rotonda with managers from leading Italian and international ceramic companies who will offer their “visions” and describe the actions and strategies they are implementing to face the current and future challenges and thus grant a further sustainable growth of the sector in a world that is rapidly changing.
Together with Acimac Chairman, Paolo Lamberti, speakers include:
- Rolando Lozano, General manager Grupo Lamosa Mexico, second largest world ceramic tile manufacturer with factories in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Spain.
- Abdallah Massaad, CEO of RAK Ceramics (UAE), fifth largest world ceramic tile manufacturer, with production activities also in the sanitaryware and tableware sectors and facilities also in India and Bangladesh;
- Luca Costi, CEO of Del Conca Group and Del Conca USA, who will offer the point of view of one of the leading Italian brands, as well as describing the current trends in the US flooring market;
- Abhishek Somany, CEO of Somany Ceramics (India), second largest ceramic tile manufacturer in India and among the “Best Brands” on the domestic market, who will provide an overview of the industrial, economic and market situation of the huge Asian Country.
At the end of the conference, the TecnAwards 2022 ceremony will start, with over 30 prizes to be assigned to international ceramic companies
