Increase in attendance at Cevisama 2006

15/02/06 - Cevisama 2006, with an exhibition space of more than 93 thousand square metres, saw an increase in attendance over 2005.
According to the official figures published by the organisers for the first four days (not including the half day of Saturday), there were over 95 thousand professional visitors, 5.5% more than in 2005 (in 2004, when the machinery sector was last present, there were 86,556 attendees).

The number of foreign visitors also increased, reaching 12,000 compared to last year’s figure of 11,140 (the final attendance figures will be published when given to the press).
The numbers of foreign exhibitors were fairly similar to last year, with Italy in the leading position followed by Portugal, Turkey and Germany. The Italian contingent saw a decrease in numbers of tile producers and an increase in technology supplier companies.

The exhibition hall layout was organised by dividing the leading companies up evenly amongst the different halls, an arrangement that made for a fairly uniform distribution of visitors in each hall. However hall 5, devoted to new technologies, was fairly inconvenient to visit as it could only be reached by leaving the building where the other halls were located.
