Initial attendance figures for Cevisama 2009

The fall in attendance at the 27th Cevisama was not as severe as the organisers had feared given the difficult period experienced by the Spanish ceramic sector. The preliminary figures published on the last day of the show point to a 16% fall in numbers of foreign attendees and an 18.5% drop in Italian visitors but a considerable increase in numbers of customers from Arab countries.

In spite of the crisis, the exhibitor companies displayed numerous product and design innovations which drew considerable interest from industry professionals.
This demonstrated the exhibitors’ intention to tackle the crisis head-on while awaiting the economic recovery.
