Kale Italia appoints new CEO


Kale Italia, the group that in 2011 acquired the Edilgres, Edilcuoghi and Campani brands, has undergone a change in management. As of 1 April, Paolo Cavallacci has taken over as CEO from Burak Orhun. The main task of the newly appointed CEO is to promote Italian products and to carry forward the brand renewal project that began with the acquisition and continued with the reopening of the manufacturing facility in Borgotaro.

Cavallacci, 57, has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florence. From 1982 to 1991 he worked for Manetti&Roberts in Florence, becoming director of toiletries production in 1987. In 1991 he was appointed director of the Florence facility of Sun Chemical Group, then in 2001 became deputy general manager of the inks division for the Italian market. In 2006 he joined Emilceramica as industrial director, then served as CEO from 2009 to 2012. From September 2012 to March 2013 he was CEO of Ceramica Fondovalle.
