LB supplies a Migratech system to Ceramica Al Omaraa (Egypt)

LB Officine Meccaniche has strengthened its presence in the North African market with a contract to supply a Migratech microgranulation system to the Cairo, Egypt based ceramic tile manufacturer Ceramica Al Omaraa - La Beauté.
Continuing its excellent longstanding relations with LB, Ceramica Al Omaraa has chosen to install the Italian company’s innovative dry powder preparation system on its red body single firing production line, which has a capacity of 45 ton/hour of tiles in sizes from 20x20 cm to 50x50 cm. The equipment was delivered in July and will commence operation by the end of the year.
The grinding process is performed by the high efficiency MRV 185/45 vertical roller mill. The finely milled powder is conveyed to the GRC 700 microgranulators, where it undergoes agglomeration through humidification, and then on to the EVF 45 dryer.
The Migratech microgranulation system from LB is able to produce powders with a high degree of compaction during pressing and good reactivity during firing. This ensures a higher mechanical strength of both the green and dried body than is possible with conventional systems.
