LB technology enjoys major success in China

The Italian company LB enjoyed an excellent start to the year in the Chinese market, signing agreements to supply its latest technologies to two of the leading Chinese manufacturers, Marco Polo group (Dongguan City) and Monalisa (Foshan).

The Marco Polo group, renowned for its brands Wonderful and L&D, produces a wide range of porcelain, wall and decorative tiles and is a major player in the field of architecture and interior design with a strong international presence. Due to its focus on high technical and aesthetic quality, flexibility and reduced production costs, Marco Polo has chosen LB technology for its Wonderful facility in Jiangxi, purchasing two Easy Color System colouring units (LB patent) to feed six presses for full-body porcelain tile production using the double loading technique.

Monalisa, which specialises in the production of high-end porcelain and is internationally renowned for the artistic quality of its products, opted for the latest technology from LB, a plant consisting of an Easy Color System and 2 Divario press feeders. Monalisa is keen to offer the Chinese market original and innovative products that will set it apart from the local competition and will enable it to enter new market segments with marble aesthetic effects and 60x60 cm and 80x80 cm sizes.

These new supply contracts represent a major endorsement for LB in a difficult but potentially enormous market which is beginning to feel the need to diversify its output by further raising the level of technical and aesthetic quality.
