Major supply contract in Italy for Garoll

30/06/03 -Last May, Garoll of Brescia supplied a large shower tray production unit to a leading Italian sanitaryware company. The system currently consists of three press casting machines capable of demoulding pieces horizontally by means of 90° rotation of the mobile mould holders and a robot that serves the presses.
The specific characteristics of the plant include an ability to produce shower trays of large dimensions (maximum size 1550x800 mm fired) and different shapes; complete automation of the production process, freeing the unit from any need for manual intervention; and integrability in the future development rationale of company production systems.
The new plant adopts a traditional plant solution, an area in which Garoll is a leader in the application of automation to sanitaryware manufacturing plants. The operations of product demoulding, piece store management for pre-drying, finishing of seams and waste outlets, and car loading for transport to the dryer, are performed exclusively by the robot.
