Manfredini & Schianchi wins two orders in Argentina

The new dry grinding line supplied by Manfredini & Schianchi for the Salta facility of Ceramica Alberdi, a leading Argentine company set up in 1907, came into operation in January 2013. With the new grinding line, which joins the existing line supplied by Manfredini & Schianchi in 2008, Ceramica Alberdi now has a production capacity of around 60 ton/h and an annual output of more than 11 million sq.m of low-absorption single-fired tiles in sizes up to 52.2 x 52.2 cm. The line centres around two Molomax MS-6/190 pendular mills and Forgia MS38/AL granulators which perform agglomeration and granulation.

Manfredini & Schianchi has secured a second contract in Argentina from Cerro Negro, a leading ceramic group owned by the multinational CRH. After adopting a complete raw materials preparation plant at its Cordoba factory in 2008, the Argentine company has now installed a similar plant in its factory in Olavarria. The line features cutting-edge solutions such as the HD P.I.G. mill which is capable of grinding more than 60% already fine material, the Molomax 6/190 pendular mill and the Forgia MS38-AL vertical granulator. The plant came into operation in March 2013 and has a production capacity of 25 ton/h with a maximum moisture content of 7%. It produces more than 25,000 sq.m/day of single-fired floor and wall tiles in sizes from 30x30 cm to 60x60 cm.
