Marcheluzzo Impianti strengthens its partnership with Wienerberger
Following the successful start-up of the ultra-modern Wienerberger plant in Durtal, France in 2010, Marcheluzzo Impianti was once again commissioned by the Austrian giant to develop a solution for increasing the efficiency and production capacity of accessory pieces with special cuts to be installed at the same facility.
In order to give the existing multi-output line the capability to make special cuts (known as “Brique à Bancher”) on large blocks (500x300x200 mm), the Marcheluzzo Impianti technical staff had to perform a meticulous feasibility study. The rapidly-developed solution involved equipping the cutter with advanced technologies and special accessories (rapid exclusion and adjustment, wire spools to reduce downtimes caused by wire breakage and much more), enabling it to reach an output of 1500-2000 pieces/hour.
Installation was completed in October 2017 to the customer’s complete satisfaction, confirming the Italian company as one of the most reliable international partners.
In another major project for Wienerberger, Marcheluzzo Impianti has renovated the dried product strip unloading and programming line complete with kiln car setting at the Austrian factory in Uttendorf. The Italian company proposed a simple and multifunctional robotic solution capable of processing the Austrian group’s wide range of products.
Installation will be performed over the next few months in record time thanks to excellent coordination with the Wienerberg engineers, with whom every detail has been planned. For greater speed of installation, the plant will be pre-assembled in the Marcheluzzo Impianti workshop, subject to dry run testing, then disassembled and shipped, thereby eliminating several steps on-site.
