Market validation for LB's Migratech, as second line requested

LB's patented Migratech technology for the microgranulation of ceramic bodies is rapidly making its mark on the international scene. The first production lines were installed less than a year ago at Al Omaraa - La Beauté (Egypt) and Celima (Peru), and the results have been so successful in terms of production efficiency and energy-saving that the two tile producers have asked for a second grinding and microgranulation line.

Apart from the advantages mentioned above, Migratech technology achieves good compaction of the body in the pressing phase, and excellent reactivity during firing. This guarantees mechanical strength, even in the unprocessed state, that is better than the standards obtainable with traditional grinding and humidification systems.

These important signals from the market have validated the foresight of LB, which presented this process innovation at Tecnargilla 2010 after recognising the future benefits of a dry grinding system with vertical roller mill and microgranulation
