Michelmersh acquires FabSpeed

The acquisition bolsters the group’s sustainability programmes and meets the growing demand for complex and highly customisable prefabricated components.

FabSpeed, one of the UK’s largest brick fabricators, has been acquired by Michelmersh to complement the Group’s growing portfolio of premium products and services with its off-site construction offering.

The operation supports the group’s sustainability-centred ethos and meets growing demand from architects, engineers and housebuilders who require the highest quality assemblies to achieve accelerated construction timelines.

Formed in 2020 through the merger of LiteSpeed and Fab-Lite, both of which have over 25 years of experience, FabSpeed has earned the trust of the country’s largest housing developers due to its wide range of products and services. The company has long been considered a pioneer in prefabricated solutions for the modern construction industry using quality cutting-edge technologies. FabSpeed boasts a collection of low-environmental-impact brick cladding systems for the residential, commercial and education sector such as Pro-Clad and Pro-Steel.

Frank Hanna, CEO of Michelmersh, commented: “The FabSpeed acquisition will create strategic synergies in terms of product portfolio, customer base and distribution channels, boosting Michelmersh’s competitiveness in the UK market.”
