Motor Power Company Asia formed

23/05/07 - After establishing a presence in China in 2005 with a sales branch in Shanghai, Motor Power Group of Castelnuovo Sotto (province of Reggio Emilia), an Italian company that specialises in the production of industrial motors, has decided to consolidate its presence in the country by opening a production facility.
In November 2006, it set up Motor Power Company Asia, a fully-owned subsidiary of the Italian parent company, with the objective of producing several product ranges aimed at the local market.

The new facility is located in Chuansha Economic Park in the Pudong district of Shanghai and has a works area of approximately 2,000 sq.m strategically located near Shanghai�??s main transport infrastructures (motorways, port and the Pudong international airport just 15 km away).

Production is due to begin in Spring 2007 and will allow the company to establish a stronger presence in the local market, while at the same time providing excellent support to Italian and international customers located in China.
