New lease of life for the Carfer brand

Acquired a year ago from the former owners, the historic brand Carfer has been given a new lease of life in the Sassuolo-based newco Carfer Forni led by Alberto Severi, a well-known engineer with thirty years of experience working for historic ceramic machinery companies such as Poppi, Ipeg and Nassetti. Due to the experience and expertise of its technicians and engineers in the drying and firing processes, Carfer Forni achieved excellent results during the first few months of operation and secured major orders in Italy, Argentina, Iran, Spain and Tunisia. The latest is for a pre-kiln thermal machine offering considerable energy savings designed for the Spanish company Novogres of Vila-Real (Castellón).

Carfer Forni aims to design machines tailored to the technological and production requirements of ceramic companies. Specifically, the company can design kilns and dryers for special products as well as heat recovery systems. It can also modify the main kiln zones (pre-heating, firing, cooling) to shorten the firing cycle and improve product quality.

Carfer Forni also designs and builds self-recovering radiant tube pre-kilns with operating temperatures of up to 500°C, roller dryers for polishing and cutting lines, medium and high-speed industrial burners running on natural gas, LPG and fuel oil, and combustion plants for dryers and kilns. It also supplies original spare parts for Carfer and Poppi kilns and for all types of kiln on the market.
