Nuova Fima achieves strong growth in 2007
Nuova Fima, a leading manufacturer of inspection, sorting and packaging systems for the ceramic sector, is set to close 2007 with highly positive results.
The forecast consolidated turnover of more than 40 million euro includes the revenues of Surface Inspection for the first time since the 2005 acquisition. The unification of the two companies has proved highly successful through the creation of synergies and the consequent increase in market shares.
The Group's operating profits amount to 9% of turnover, a significant increase on previous years which underscores the excellent performance of the operations and strategies pursued for the production of hi-tech products.
The Group also has ambitious projects to expand its market share in other sectors, particularly pharmaceuticals, banking, food and publishing.
To honour the company's decades of success, Nuova Fima's 30th anniversary celebrations were held on 14 November in Villa Cavazza in Bomporto (Modena). The occasion also marked the twentieth anniversary of the founding of Surface Inspection in Bristol and the tenth anniversary of the first foreign market presence through the branch in Castellón, Spain.
Stefano Mele, managing director for the last eleven months, highlighted the company's unflagging commitment to new product development and improvement in after-sales service, particularly in the world market where the company generates more than 60% of its turnover.
