The Panaria Group grows and renovates

17/06/04 - The Panaria Group (Ceramica Panaria, Lea Ceramiche, Cotto d’Este, Fiordo, Margres) has reported an increase in turnover of 14.6% in 2003 to 207.3 million euro (180.8 million euro in 2002).
Gross operating margin was 37.5 million euro (18% of turnover), while operating income was 25.5 million euro (12.4% of turnover).

This positive trend appears to have continued during the first few months of 2004 as a result of a company policy based on product innovation and high quality.

Since 2000, the Group has been renovating its existing plant, including most recently a sorting line for the factory in Finale Emilia which will be started up in September 2004. The plant will join the other five sorting lines already installed at the factory, all of which were supplied by the System Group.
The company, one of the first to use Rotocolor LL technology (capable of decorating sizes up to 60x60 cm) with a sequencer (a device that coordinates and synchronises the operation of several Rotocolor units on the same line) to produce specific new products, is giving increasing importance to handling systems for medium-large sizes.

The recent investments at the facility in Toano (province of Reggio Emilia), where four System sorting lines and palletisers are already in operation, include a sorting line for large formats (60x90 cm) and a portal type palletiser.
