Paradyz Group makes 46 million euro investments

With the opening of the new plant at Wielka Wola, the leading Polish producer Ceramika Paradyż has completed the first phase of an extensive company modernisation programme. In 2010 Paradyż Group launched a four-year investment programme, the first step of which is the renovation of Wielka Wola. A total investment in excess of 46 million euro and more than a year of work have transformed one of the company’s oldest factories, started up in 1993, into one of the most modern, cutting-edge facilities in Europe.

Although the Wielka Wola production facility was opened in May 2011, work will continue until 2013. The clinker production lines have been replaced and the factory expanded with new buildings that will host three new production lines featuring innovative technologies, including digital decoration machinery, for the production of large formats and plants for rectification and honing of surfaces. The plant modernisation project will raise production from the current 3.2 million square metres to more than 8.5 million sq.m and will also bring a considerable increase in production efficiency, giving the company a significant competitive advantage and allowing it to expand its product range.

Paradyż’s ambitious modernisation programme will then continue with the upgrading of the Opoczno facility through an investment of more than 6 million euro for the production of new sizes. The final step will be the remodelling of the Tomaszów No. 1 facilities, an operation that will cost a further 10 million euro.
