Sacmi acquires Vallicelli
Following a longstanding industrial partnership dating from the 1970s, Sacmi has acquired Vallicelli, a Forlì-based company operating in the field of heavy-duty metalworking. The acquired company, renamed Sacmi Carpmec, will be able to handle many of the tasks performed by Sacmi’s main mechanical workshop more efficiently, while its mill drum production department, which employs 22 people, will provide effective support to the Imola-based group’s mill engineering section in terms of preventive analyses, simulations and tests.
Furthermore, the presence of the mechanical workshop, a painting department and a development area with heavy duty gantry cranes will enable Sacmi to outsource the assembly and testing activities, thereby optimising all the group’s activities, including those in the whiteware and beverage sectors.
Sacmi Carpmec stands on a total site area of 40,000 sq.m, including the factory of 8,400 sq.m. It will be headed by Walter Tontini with Marco Fattorini (chairman) and Simona Zardi and Massimo Cavalli making up the new board of directors.
