SACMI continues its growth in the Sanitaryware & Tableware sectors
The Italian group has acquired certain assets from Lippert’s Industrial Solutions division, completing its range of automation, storage and robotics technologies.
In September, the Sacmi Group announced the acquisition of certain assets from the Industrial Solutions division of Lippert, a long-established German company renowned for its expertise in production process and intralogistics solutions for the sanitaryware and tableware sectors. The investment, which includes intellectual property rights and technological assets, enhances Sacmi’s portfolio by incorporating advanced solutions for automated product flow management, kiln car loading systems, and production buffers and storage systems.
The Italian group’s objective, as confirmed by Chairman Paolo Mongardi, is to further solidify Sacmi’s position as a global partner in the sanitaryware and tableware sectors by prioritising innovation, automation and efficiency.
“Acquiring assets from Lippert’s ceramic division allows the Sacmi Group to seize a valuable opportunity to incorporate a key piece of industrial history, together with its related technologies and skills,” he said.
Continuity of production, service and spare parts supply for Lippert machines will be guaranteed exclusively by SAMA, a Sacmi Group company headed by Winfried Hein, using the Sacmi Global Network’s facilities and expertise.
“This operation will deliver significant added value to all our customers as we will continue to supply machines with Lippert’s renowned, much-appreciated technology, alongside the SAMA range of forming, glazing and handling solutions,” commented Hein.
