Sacmi Heavy Clay supplies new complete line to Iran
Azarakhsh International Refractory Brick Manufacturer Group (Teheran), the largest Iranian producer of brick and construction materials, has commissioned Sacmi to supply a new complete plant for the manufacture of strip bricks to be installed in its manufacturing facility in the town of Qom, south of Teheran.
Already well known and appreciated for its low-absorption, high-strength bricks such as pavers and facing bricks, the company has an annual output of almost 100,000 tons sold on both the domestic and foreign markets.
The new line commissioned from Sacmi will be installed in the new building near the old factory and has been designed for a production capacity of 140,000 pieces per day (85 tons), although it can cope with production peaks of up to 100 tons per day.
The order includes two PH 690 D hydraulic presses (specially configured for the production of these kinds of products), a 5-level ECP 235/11.3 roller dryer with an effective entrance width of 2350 mm and a length of 11.3 metres, an FMS 223/136.5 model single-channel roller kiln (length of 136.5 metres with an effective load width of 2350 mm) and a Synthesis sorting and packaging line with Extrapack Robot.
The kiln is designed and equipped to fire heavy materials at high temperatures (up to 1250°C) and features a flashing system to create a reducing atmosphere in the final firing zone of the kiln.
For Sacmi, which operates in the area through its Sacmi Iran branch, this is an important new customer in a strategic market with strong development potential in the construction sector.
