Sermac supplies complete plant in Peru

Sermac, a Sassuolo-based company with twenty years of experience in the sector of new and reconditioned machinery for ceramic tile production, has supplied a complete plant to Peruvian company Ceramicos Gala. The project involved technical design and engineering through to start-up in December 2012. A preliminary study was conducted to determine the technological characteristics of the raw materials, making it possible to establish an effective formulation and choose the grinding technology (dry milling with a pendular mill) and the size of the kiln for a production of 10,000 sq.m/day of red body tiles in sizes from 33x33 cm to 45x45 cm.

The plant is equipped with two Sacmi PH 2590 hydraulic presses, a new bell type glazing line with a digital decoration machine, a Sacmi single-layer kiln and sorting and palletisation lines. The machines were reconditioned by a group of companies based in the Sassuolo area.
