Siam Cement Group chooses dry grinding

Thai Ceramic Co, a company owned by Siam Cement Group, the world's second largest ceramic tile producer, is due to install a Dry Tech dry preparation plant for the production of glazed porcelain tile from Manfredini & Schianchi. The line comprises Molomax 6/230 new pendular mills which can be used to obtain extremely fine particle sizes (in this case 0% residue > 44 micron), high outputs and above all the possibility of using raw materials with a high moisture content. The characteristics of the plant are such as to ensure a large reduction in electrical and thermal energy costs and insignificant atmospheric CO2 emissions, allowing the finished product to display the "Ceramica Eco-Friendly" mark.

The Molomax pendular mill is becoming increasingly established as a benchmark technology in the international dry grinding sector. Just under two years since it was first introduced, the Molomax 6-500 model already has numerous installations to its credit in dry preparation plants for pressed and extruded ceramics in Turkey, Iran, Mexico and Brazil. It has shown the following results: productivity up to 55 ton/h, thermal efficiency
