SITI B&T Group enjoys great success at Tecnargilla

The Formigine-based SITI B&T Group left Tecnargilla in Rimini further boosted by the success of its technological offerings, which drew more visitors to the stand than ever before.

"At Tecnargilla 2014 we presented cutting-edge technology, genuine innovations for the sector that required an enormous commitment given that our product development process takes years of hard work and considerable resources," commented SITI B&T Group's CEO Fabio Tarozzi. International buyers particularly appreciated the new products geared to Green Efficiency, especially the new generation of Greenfire® XXL kilns which cut fuel consumption by up to 30%. The completely new design sported by the entire range of machinery was also extremely well received.

In Rimini the group also showcased its new EVO 3.0 series press, which was purchased on the spot by EGMI group member Ceramica Prima, an Egyptian company based in Sadat City. The press is equipped with sophisticated technologies to improve pressing and reduce defects, including: the E-Synchro® demoulding system to eliminate loading errors and reduce maintenance costs; Genius box® for complete control of tile quality; Fasty, for rapid mould changing; and the Start & Stop hydraulic power unit, which eliminates machine stoppages and reduces consumption.

Other highlights on display included the new digital decoration machine with the largest printing width in the world and Dryfix, the dry powder application machine built by Projecta Engineering. Projecta technology has recently been installed on the facilities of Fiandre (Iris - GranitiFiandre Group) and MaKer (Florim Group), which have adopted the EVO 8 machine with 1890 mm printing width for the decoration of extremely large size panels (1600×3200 mm).

SITI B&T Group also unveiled its new dry grinding technologies at Tecnargilla, including the Dryfast® pendular mill and the Grainmix granulator. These user-friendly technologies that guarantee very low maintenance costs, high productivity and high energy efficiency and are equipped with smart systems for vibration monitoring and fault analysis.

Last but not least, SITI B&T Group used the Rimini show as a platform to announce the upcoming launch of Supera®, its new versatile, flexible and highly energy efficient technology for pressing large format tiles and ceramic panels.

The Group, which is already widely present in all ceramic manufacturing clusters the world over, now aims to continue to expand by focusing on new product development and on further strengthening its international scope. Each year SITI B&T aims to open new service branches, most recently in Egypt, Indonesia and India, while it already has manufacturing facilities in Brazil and China.

"We are a completely Italian company with a strong and deeply rooted presence in our local area," commented Tarozzi. "Our research centres are all located in the Modenese ceramic cluster and our main production facilities are based in Italy, where we have longstanding, high-quality customers. However, our attention is also focused on other markets, particularly Asia. We aim to capture demand for technology and to monitor emerging countries with strong growth potential. In mature markets like Italy we intend to support local producers by offering innovative production methods and helping our clients become increasingly competitive in international markets."
