Strong demand for System technology in Mexico

Business is booming for System in Mexico, where the Fiorano-based group's technology is enjoying widespread success.

It is strengthening its partnership with Interceramic, which in 2013 has chosen Italian technology for its new 9B facility producing medium and large format porcelain in sizes up to 600x1200 mm. Here it will be installing the new 4Phases packaging machine, the first supplied by System in the American continent, and Qualitron NG Big Size automatic sorting systems, eight Rotocolor units, a system for handling fired products at the kiln exit and a buffer from Nuova Era. The order also includes an Easy FV08 sorting line in a version for large sizes, a Falcon portal palletiser and two LGV vehicles for pallets. The two companies will also cooperate on the expansion of the Interceramic Group's facilities 1 and 5.

Also in Mexico, the red body ceramic floor tile manufacturer Nitropiso recently made its debut in the field of digital decoration with the choice of an innovative Creadigit system. This latest order from System is for a digital tile decoration machine with the highest printing resolution on the market (400 dpi).

The Porcelanite-Lamosa Group has also made major investments in System technology for the upgrading of its Tlaxcala, Monterrey and San José Iturbide plants over the last 10 months. A Rotocolor unit, a kiln exit plant, connecting unit and buffer from Nuova Era, an Easy Line sorting line and a Falcon palletiser were installed at the Porcel facility in Tlaxcala last November. A second expansion stage, confirmed in January, is at the assembly stage. The single-fired floor tile production factory in Benito Juarez, Monterrey was expanded last February with the installation of new Rotocolor units, a Nuova Era kiln exit plant, an Easy Line sorting line, a Falcon palletiser and two AGV Box units with supervisor and navigation upgrades to the latest NDC 8000 platform. Last but not least, a plant consisting of an Easy Line FV08 60x120 sorting line and portal palletiser for large tiles sizes is undergoing installation at the facility in San José Iturbide.
