System Group acquires Serigrafica Tosi

 

System Group is expanding in the ceramic tile decoration sector with the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Serigrafica Tosi.

 

Led by founding chairman Franco Stefani and managing director Daniele Pecchini, the group is expanding its know-how in the ceramic sector with a view to offering the market new products and services.

 

System and Serigrafica Tosi will be able to assure ever higher quality standards in the fields of decoration and silicone roller laser engraving technologies. Research will play a crucial role; the greater critical mass and cooperation between technicians coming from different backgrounds and experiences will speed up the pace of development of technological innovations.

 

Sergio Tosi, the previous majority shareholder of Serigrafica Tosi, has maintained a substantial interest and the company will maintain its own autonomy. The wide international network of System branches will allow the company to develop in new markets and to reach a level of globalisation that was previously impossible due to questions of scale.

 

System Group has a consolidated turnover of 207 million euro, 862 employees and an export share of 70%. Serigrafica Tosi, a Sassuolo-based company founded in 1969, has a turnover of more than 10 million euro (10% exports), 70 employees and branches in Italy and Spain.
